What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Websites can also use local storage and comparable technologies to remember preferences or understand use.
What we use
| Technology | Purpose | When used |
|---|---|---|
ctc_analytics_consent local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. | After you make a choice |
_ga and related Google Analytics cookies | Distinguish visits and produce website usage statistics. | Only after you accept analytics |
Google Analytics
Our Google Analytics property uses measurement ID G-2MBQKGSBMB. Analytics is denied by default through consent settings. If you accept, Google Analytics can record page views, sessions and selected interactions such as starting or completing the trip-planner form.
Accepting or rejecting
The banner provides separate “Accept analytics” and “Reject” controls. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from reading the website. You can reopen the choice using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Withdrawing consent
If you reject after previously accepting, the site disables further Analytics measurement and attempts to remove Analytics cookies for this domain. Browser settings can also clear stored cookies and local-storage preferences.
Third-party websites
Links to GOV.UK, the NHS, MoneyHelper, insurers or other websites lead to services with their own cookie practices. Their policies apply after you leave Clear Travel Cover.
Changes
We will update this policy before introducing advertising, personalisation, quote-processing or additional tracking technologies.
